Membership Meeting Notice
The following dates have been scheduled for contract information meetings. These are your chances to ask questions about our tentative memorandum of agreement for CSEA Unit 7900/02.
Wednesday, May 20 - 5 to 8 p.m. - OCCC Newburgh
Meeting will be in the Tower Building Café (in basement)
Thursday, May 21 - 2 to 5 p.m. - 911 Building
Meeting will be in Classroom 2
Tuesday, May 26 - 11 to 2 p.m. - Unit 7900 Office, Goshen
Meeting will be at CSEA Office, 30 Matthews St., second floor

A tentative contract agreement has been reached between CSEA and the County of Orange for Unit 7900/02 members. A press release link is posted below. Details of the tentative agreement are contained within the agreement link below. Informational meetings will be held to allow for members’ questions to be answered prior to members voting on the agreement via mail ballot. A schedule of the informational meetings will be posted here when it becomes available.

On February 27, 2015 the CSEA Negotiation Team met with Orange County Administration as part of the ongoing negotiation process. We were unable to reach an agreement and will proceed with Fact Finding. CSEA Membership meetings will be scheduled in the near future. Please continue to visit this website and your CSEA Bulletin boards for updates.
On April 14, 2014 the CSEA and Orange County Administration met to discuss a few topics. CSEA rejected the recent County salary proposal. Stay tuned for additional information as this negotiations process develops.
On April 11, 2014 the CSEA and Orange County Administration met again for another negotiations session. ORANGE COUNTY proposed the following for salary increase and health Insurance contributions for the members of our bargaining unit. We are just keeping our membership informed as we proceed during the negotiations process.
1.5% Plus $1,000 off base after ratification. (one time payment of $1,000 fully taxed)
13% Grades 2-9 Single/Family Caps $1,100/$2,400
Grades 10-23 Single/Family Caps $1,300/$2,800

On April 3, 2014 CSEA Units 7900\7902 proposed a few changes to our contract proposal. Below is the most recent salary schedule proposal by CSEA to Orange County Administration. An additional component of this proposal is to keep the current health insurance payment schedule. Our proposal was developed with the intention of demonstrating shared sacrifice during tough economic times while protecting the interests of our entire membership. There are many other pieces to this contract proposal, which if accepted by Orange County would require ratification by the CSEA Membership and Orange County Legislature.
